Why is it that the less we try to control our life the more balanced it becomes. I have accepted that I have very little control over what happens around me. What I do have control of is the positive intentions that I set every morning. My belief is that positive energy is attracted to positive thoughts. I don’t waste any time on the negative and focus all of my thoughts towards an amazing journey through my life. You can’t worry about things that you don’t allow into your mind. What mindset do you choose in the morning?
Well today was a tough day to have to follow my own advice. When I got to the gym my legs felt like sludge . I am not sure if it was a result of a hard workout on Monday or just a mindset. I started on the elyptical and after 1minute I was ready to give up and start my weights early. Then I remembered the advice I posted on here a few weeks ago. It is where I said give it 4 minutes and if you are still tired you can quit. I continued on and about 3 minutes into the run I caught my second wind. I finished my run on a high and ended with a great lifting circuit. So my suggestion is when you are tired give it 4 minutes. It can make the difference between success and failure
I started my Monday off with such positive energy and it’s been bubbling all day. It is so amazing to me that if you feed the positive vibration it will attract even more positive energy. I know that there are naysayers who will say that all good things must come to an end. But I refuse to subscribe to that theory. So my question for today would be ” is it wrong for me to ignore the negative and only allow positive energy to fill my body”?
How can it be that my Saturday’s yoga practice took all that I had to complete and Sunday felt like I could go another 2 hours? I have similar experiences in the weight room as well. There are days that I can barely get through my workout and other days that there is not enough weight in the gym . I am constantly challenging myself and on days that I struggle I tell myself, give it 10 minutes. I know that if I can get through the early part I can complete my session. The key for me is to not give it up and enjoy the reward of a successful workout. So my question today is, do you face these same challenges and how do you overcome them?

As I hit certain bumps and ( sometimes earthquakes) in my quest to live a healthy life and eat clean I try and remember some advice an old baseball coach gave to me. You don’t judge a person by how they get knocked down you judge them on how they get back up. We are all going to slip and sometimes completely fall off of our program. The important thing is to get back up and begin again.
When you look in the mirror today, observe yourself from the inside. There are too many times that we all look at small facial blemishes or wrinkles in our shirt rather than ourselves as a whole. I know it is easy for me to find many of my faults but today I am only going to look for the good within.
