What kind of day are you going to have today? With all of the expectations, emotions,and tasks during the holiday season it is easy to find your day going back and forth from high to low. Sometimes it can be as quick as when cotton candy disappears in your mouth when it meets your lips. I believe that by setting your intentions for the day it is possible to have a great day. When you awaken in the morning tell yourself it is going to be a wonderful day. Get excited about the days workout, what a fun day you will have at work, and check out the awesome pastels in the sky. By projecting positive thoughts your mind and body will be on alert to recognize these things. Life is supposed to be fun and love is everywhere if we chose to embrace it. So listen for the laughter and feel the excitement and energy of the season. Have a great workout today and enjoy this awesome time of year.
I started my Monday off with such positive energy and it’s been bubbling all day. It is so amazing to me that if you feed the positive vibration it will attract even more positive energy. I know that there are naysayers who will say that all good things must come to an end. But I refuse to subscribe to that theory. So my question for today would be ” is it wrong for me to ignore the negative and only allow positive energy to fill my body”?
So I was just checking the weather for this weekend and there is not much hope for any sun. I know that they are calling for rain on Saturday and Sunday, but I am not going to let it affect my mood. I am setting my intentions for all things good and believe that this is the way it will be. I am looking forward to an awesome workout tomorrow and a great yoga practice on Sunday. Here’s to staying positive !
When you’re new in the gym please don’t hang your head or feel out of place. I noticed a new person working out shyly when I was at the gym on Monday night. I could see that they were intimidated by the gym rats. I wanted to go over and say “don’t give up!”. We were all there at one time, and the truth is, that we are all there to improve our body and mind. As a self professed gym rat I want you to know that it is such a great step that you have taken for your health. Despite what a few people say most of us are excited for you and want you to stick with it. So welcome to the club and let’s all improve our health at our own pace.
How can it be that my Saturday’s yoga practice took all that I had to complete and Sunday felt like I could go another 2 hours? I have similar experiences in the weight room as well. There are days that I can barely get through my workout and other days that there is not enough weight in the gym . I am constantly challenging myself and on days that I struggle I tell myself, give it 10 minutes. I know that if I can get through the early part I can complete my session. The key for me is to not give it up and enjoy the reward of a successful workout. So my question today is, do you face these same challenges and how do you overcome them?
When you look in the mirror today, observe yourself from the inside. There are too many times that we all look at small facial blemishes or wrinkles in our shirt rather than ourselves as a whole. I know it is easy for me to find many of my faults but today I am only going to look for the good within.
