Well today was a tough day to have to follow my own advice. When I got to the gym my legs felt like sludge . I am not sure if it was a result of a hard workout on Monday or just a mindset. I started on the elyptical and after 1minute I was ready to give up and start my weights early. Then I remembered the advice I posted on here a few weeks ago. It is where I said give it 4 minutes and if you are still tired you can quit. I continued on and about 3 minutes into the run I caught my second wind. I finished my run on a high and ended with a great lifting circuit. So my suggestion is when you are tired give it 4 minutes. It can make the difference between success and failure
So I was just checking the weather for this weekend and there is not much hope for any sun. I know that they are calling for rain on Saturday and Sunday, but I am not going to let it affect my mood. I am setting my intentions for all things good and believe that this is the way it will be. I am looking forward to an awesome workout tomorrow and a great yoga practice on Sunday. Here’s to staying positive !
When you’re new in the gym please don’t hang your head or feel out of place. I noticed a new person working out shyly when I was at the gym on Monday night. I could see that they were intimidated by the gym rats. I wanted to go over and say “don’t give up!”. We were all there at one time, and the truth is, that we are all there to improve our body and mind. As a self professed gym rat I want you to know that it is such a great step that you have taken for your health. Despite what a few people say most of us are excited for you and want you to stick with it. So welcome to the club and let’s all improve our health at our own pace.

I just stepped outside to get some fresh air and couldn’t believe how beautiful it was outside. As I was taking in the fresh air I remembered that this is a rest day from the gym/yoga. I am feeling so connected and strong that I know this positive energy will carry over to tomorrows workout. It’s going to be so nice to hit my workout with this feeling. I know it will be a great one !
I started my morning off today by telling myself its going to be a great day. I truly believe that if you can stay positive for the first 5 minutes of your morning those positive thoughts will stay with you.I plan on seeing the good in everyone today and believe that they all have the best of intentions.
